Coeur d’Alene

 

Is an original piece written by Lisa Jayne.

It is based on true events that happened in 1998, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  Young, newly elected mayor, Steve Judy, receives news that a regional white supremacist group, The Aryan Nations, wants to stage a white pride parade down the main street of Coeur d’Alene. This play is the story of Steve Judy’s struggle to balance first amendment rights, with the divisive nature of racism.
